CHANGES TO THE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
We recently collected data about our appointment system as well as your views and opinions about it.
Much of our work is patients requesting appointments on the day they wish to be seen, and many of you would prefer to book your appointments this way.
From April, we are going to pilot a new system, so you will notice a change in the way that we offer appointments.
As before you may book in advance (by phone or internet), but if you wish to be seen on the day we will ask a clinician to speak to you first. The GP or Nurse will then book the appointment for you that's best.
Just remember if you need to see a doctor on the same day
E – Is for Early! Ring early if you know you need to speak or see a doctor on the same day. The earlier you call the better!
A – Is for Await a call back from either your usual GP or the duty doctor / triage nurse who will...
S – Speak to you and offer you advice or arrange for you to see a clinician about your health issue swiftly, usually on the same day!
Y – Is for Yes! We hope to be able to offer appointments to suit your needs!
And remember – this is for YOU! – So please don't forget to feedback to us to let us know how you are finding this new system. Please pick up a feedback slip from reception, or speak to a member of our team.
