Due to governance issues and to prevent mistakes we do not accept requests for repeat medications by phone:
- Your request should be in writing or applied for online.
- The commonest options are to use the tear off slip from your last prescription or order over the internet. If you need help, please ask at the desk.
- Our processing time is two working days (48 hours) to give us time to check your request carefully and arrange a review with a doctor if you need one.
- If you need urgent medication, ask to speak to a doctor or seek advice from your local pharmacy.
We hope these changes, which were agreed by our Patient Group, will help improve our services.
For a more detailed information regarding repeat prescrptions please review our Prescription Ordering Leaflet.
Free medicines with Pharmacy First Scheme
The Pharmacy First Scheme enables you to obtain medicines from your local pharmacy to treat minor illnesses. For more information about the scheme, please click here.
Although most of our service costs are covered by the NHS contract, some aspects of our work fall outside this and we charge patient fees based on BMA Guidance. For a full list of fees please click here.
